چکیده

We investigate the structure of the Longo-Rehren inclusion for a nite closed system of endomorphisms of factors, whose categorical structure is known to be the same as the asymptotic inclusion of A. Ocneanu. In particular, we obtain a precise description of the sectors associated with the Longo-Rehren inclusions in terms of half braidings, which do not necessarily satisfy the usual condition of braidings. In doing so, we give new proofs to most of the known statements concerning asymptotic inclusions. We construct a complete system of matrix units of the tube algebra using the half braidings, which will be used in the second part to describe concrete examples of the Longo-Rehren inclusions arising from the Cuntz algebra endomorphisms. We also discuss the case where the original system has a braiding, and generalize Ocneanu and Evans-Kawahigashi's method for the analysis of the asymptotic inclusions of the Hecke algebra subfactors.

Orbifold aspects of the Longo-Rehren subfactors

In this article, we will prove that the subsectors of α-induced sectors for M ⋊ Ĝ ⊃ M forms a modular category, where M ⋊ Ĝ is the crossed product of M by the group dual Ĝ of a finite group G. In fact, we will prove that it is equivalent to Müger’s crossed product. By using this identification, we will exhibit an orbifold aspect of the quantum double of ∆(not necessarily non-degenerate) obtaine...

A History of Selected Topics in Categorical Algebra I: From Galois Theory to Abstract Commutators and Internal Groupoids

This paper is a chronological survey, with no proofs, of a direction in categorical algebra, which is based on categorical Galois theory and involves generalized central extensions, commutators, and internal groupoids in Barr exact Mal’tsev and more general categories. Galois theory proposes a notion of central extension, and motivates the study of internal groupoids, which is then used as an a...

Critical Phenomena, Modular Invariants and Operator Algebras

We review the framework subfactors provide for understanding modular invariants. We discuss the structure of a generalized Longo-Rehren subfactor and the relationship between the coupling matrices of such subfactors, modular invariance and local extensions. We relate results of Kostant, in the context of the McKay correspondence for finite subgroups of SU (2), to subfactors. A direct proof of h...

CO2-H2O, Highly Saline and Carbonic Fluids from the Mesozoic Mashhad Granitoids, NE Iran

The Mesozoic Mashhad granitoid plutons have intruded into ophiolite complexes, meta-sediments and pyroclastics in the Binalood region, located SW of Mashad city in the NE part of Iran. Based on petrography and geochemistry, the Mashhad granitoids have been classified into 1) grey granite, 2) pink granite, 3) muscovite granite, 4) granodiorite and 5) pegmatite and quartz veins. Granitoids show t...
